University Scholarship Scheme for Continuing UG Students

Congratulations to Ms. LOO Yan Ping, Mr. LAU Wing Ho and Ms. CHAN Lok Kwan, who have received scholarship provided by the University Scholarship Scheme for Continuing UG Students 2014-2015.

 

HKUST Environmental Science Ranks No. 25 in the World

According to the just released QS World University Rankings by Faculty 2014 – Environmental Sciences, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) made an impressive jump from No. 49 in 2013 to No. 25 in 2014.

HKUST is placed the first (No. 1) in Hong Kong, No. 4 in Asia among 33 Asia universities and No. 25 in the World among world top 200 universities.

The exceptional achievement in environmental sciences is mainly due to a group of highly dedicated environmental scientists here who are willing to work together to continue improving quality of our UG/PG programs, to really care about our students, and to excel ourselves in scientific research. We are excited to see the world recognition and the Environmental Science Programs will continue to uphold excellence in education, research and innovation in the area.

PGS Award for Local Postgraduates 2014-2015

Congratulations to Mr Wong Yee Ka (MPhil in Atmospheric Environmental Science) who have won the PGS Award for Local Postgraduates 2014-2015.

 

Overseas Research Award 2013-2014

Congratulations to Mr LU Liang (PhD in Marine Environmental Science) who have won the Overseas Research Award 2013-2014. Mr LU is invited by the University of California of USA for a reasearch laboratory trip from June 1,2014 to November 30,2014 to work with a team of reserachers lead by Dr Bradley S Moore (Professor of Oceanography and Pharmaceutical Sciences)

Christopher Frey (Professor of Civil Construction and Envrionmental Engineering)
