ENVS UG Scholarship
 

To encourage students to choose BSc Environmental Science as major, the Environmental Science Programs set up an annual “ENVS UG Scholarship” for students who achieve outstanding academic record in the freshman year and choose BSc Environmental Science as major.

[1] Award: One-off scholarship of HK$20,000 (First-class) or HK$10,000 (Second-class).

[2] Eligibility to apply:

  • Year 1 students who selected BSc Environmental Science as one of the choices in major declaration, and
  • obtained cumulative grade average (CGA) of at least 3.3 as of Spring Term in the first year of study.

[3] Selection Criteria: Students with (1) excellent academic achievement, and (2) outstanding personal qualities as demostrated during an interview conducted by the ENVS Programs Director and ENVS UG Committee.

[4] Application Procedure/ Deadline: Interested Year-1 students should email the completed application form and a copy of unofficial transcript to envsugsch@ust.hk on/before 24 April 2017.

[5] Schedule: (a) Application deadline: 24 April 2017. (b) Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed in May 2017. (c) Result: Scholarship offers will be made by June 2017. (d) Scholarships will be awarded during the following Fall term on condition that the awardee has registered to the BSc Environmental Science program as major.

ENVS Dean’s List Scholarship
 

The purpose of the scholarship is to recognize students who major in the BSc Environmental Science program with excellent academic performance in any year of study

[1] Award: HK $5,000.

[2] Nomination: For each regular term (Fall or Spring), students in any year of study in the BSc Environmental Science program as major will be nominated for the award when they are placed on the Dean's list with a CGA of at least 2.85.

[3] Selection Criteria for Scholarship Awardees: The top 3 nominees in each regular term based on TGA.

[4] Result: Scholarship will be awarded in March and July for the Fall and Spring terms, respectively.
